The Napta Charitable Trust was established to recognise excellence and talent in musical theatre in the Northern region of the Musical Theatre New Zealand, covering an area from Pukekohe to Kerikeri.
They host an annual awards evening. The NAPTA Awards were established in 2001 to formally recognise and celebrate the talent seen in amateur theatre productions. Participating society productions are judged throughout the year and winners presented at the evening which is eagerly anticipated.
