PTC are excited to be bringing the much-loved Calendar Girls to the stage!
The death of a much-loved husband prompts a group of ordinary women in a small Yorkshire Women's Institute to do an extraordinary thing. Blasting away all preconceptions of what it is to be in a women's institute, they decide to do an artistic nude calendar to raise money for charity. Based on a true story, this play has comedy and heart, and is highly entertaining for actors and audiences alike.

ACCENT
No accent requirements - we are a cosmopolitan lot in the world today, but if you can do a British accent that would be great.
NUDITY
As in the best traditions of vaudevillian fan dances, the art of the play's nudity lies in what is withheld. The choreography of this sequence is best described as 'fabulous concealment'. Should we see anything we oughtn't, the whole scene will deflate like a souffle on which the oven door has been opened too quickly.
The characters who are required the fabulous concealment scene are Chris, Annie, Cora, Jessie, Celia and Ruth.
