We are looking for expressions of interest for all lead roles and supporting roles. These include the core cast of Blackadder, Baldrick, Percy, Queeny, Nursey and Melchett.

The supporting roles that are required are still being finalised, so we will consider all auditionees for these roles as well as the roles which they initially audition for.

Following on from the success of Papakura Theatre Company’s production of Blackadder Goes Forth in 2013, PTC is delighted to have the titular character returning to our boards in our 2017 production of Blackadder II.

Blackadder II, which originally aired in 1986, is the story of Lord Edmund Blackadder, a member of the aristocracy in Elizabethan London who wishes to gain the affections of ‘Queeny’. Blackadder’s scheming and cynical outlook always seem to land him in less-than-ideal situations with Baldrick (his less than bright man-servant) and Lord Percy (a ‘friend’ which Blackadder begrudgingly keeps around).

About the Creative Team:

This production is being directed by Anthony Mitchell, a young theatre practitioner who has just come off a very successful run of Catch Me if You Can: The Musical at Off-Broadway as Hanratty. He is a drama teacher at Rosehill College where he works alongside several others who have also appeared at Off-Broadway on stage.

Regan Crummer will serve as Production Manager, bringing with him experience from Newmarket Stage Company and his own work with Regan Crummer Entertainment.
